The Back
Story

A bit about my journey...

I started my working life as a Veterinary Nurse, where long hours and grabbing a sandwich while developing X-rays was the norm. I’d somehow still manage to get home, muck out the horses, and ride. Let’s just say, I learned the true meaning of resilience (and how far caffeine can take you). But, honestly, I was burning out—and for what? It certainly wasn't money and I had no time for my horses or dog. It wasn’t sustainable.

At 21, I made the leap into the corporate world, and wow, was it different!

It was where I got my first taste of coaching—and it was life-changing. I went from veterinary scrubs to coaching senior leaders, teaching managers how to coach their teams (rather than giving orders) The impact was incredible, not just for the business but in people’s lives. I was hooked.

Then came kids… and a move to France (slightly less glamorous than it sounds). A baby, a toddler, and me, in a country where I couldn’t speak the language (except what I could recall from school - "My name is Becky and I'm 12 years old" - not that helpful as it turns out!

Ex-pat life wasn’t easy, but it did teach me that life could be different and I enjoyed the life style changes. When we moved back to the UK, I waved goodbye to my corporate job with zero regrets, knowing that coaching was definitely my bag. I was great at it, I loved it, and I could make a real difference in people’s lives. Now, I’m living a life filled with passion and purpose—surrounded by animals, doing work that lights me up, and embracing the beautiful chaos of it all. Horses are still a big part of my life, but these days, dog agility has taken centre stage. It’s a bit of a circus sometimes, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
